Kaeli's Krusade

Hi, my name is Kaeli. I am writing to you as I am on a KRUSADE and I hope you can help me on my journey.

Last year, I started Kaeli’s Krusade as a way to help other people. I think you can be a kid and make a difference in the lives of other people. When I started my KRUSADE I had no idea how rewarding it would be. I spoke with presidents of charities who were really proud of me and that felt good, but not as good as it felt when I was able to see the difference I made in the lives of so many people.

This year, I am raising money to benefit Habitat for Humanity of South Collin County. When I was little I watched HfH build homes for people and I wanted to help. Now I can.

It takes about $65,000 to build one home for HfH.  The homes are not given away. They are sold at a 0% interest mortgage over 25-30 years (not sure what that means…but ok). To date, HfH-SCC has built 30 homes for deserving families in South Collin County with 3 more under construction. I am asking for donations from anyone who wants to help. Any amount is great. Even if it’s $1. I promise to be responsible with your donations and to make sure they get to the right people.

I hope that Kaeli’s Krusade will continue to make a difference. I will deliver a check to Jill Smola at Habitat for Humanity and return a letter to you regarding your donation.
