On Saturday, May 8, 2010, Flexjet and Lowe's joined together to brighten the lives of the Francis family, as they began building a home for the family through a partnership with Habitat for Humanity of South Collin County. Executives and management from both Lowe's and Flexjet were on hand to kick off framing day and help Oneila Francis drive the first nail into her home.

On July 31st the completed home was blessed and dedicated. Lowe's and Flexjet volunteers returned for the event along with many community volunteers who gave their time to help build a home for the Francis family. Speakers included HfHSCC board president Dan O'Hara, Flexjet Customer Account Manager Michelle McNally and Lowe's Associate Steve Aguilar. Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Pat Miner presented the Francis family with a certificate welcoming them to Plano. Additional gifts were presented to the family by Lowe's and Flexjet employees as well as several build volunteers. Oneila Francis and her son both expressed their appreciation to the sponsors, volunteers and Habitat crew chiefs for making their dream come true. Originally from New Orleans, Francis said, "Plano is our new home".

Keys to her new home

Lowes:
A national partner since 2003, Lowe's has supported Habitat through grant programs, project funding, how-to clinics and underwriting Habitat's Women build program. Lowe's provided Habitat for Humanity of South Collin County a $35,000 grant to build the house.

Flexjet by Bombardier:
Flexjet by Bombardier, on behalf of its fractional jet owners, is co-sponsoring HfH-SCC’s 52nd home. More than 200 Lowe's and Flexjet volunteers will help build this house over the next 8 weeks. Flexjet has been a supporter of HfHSCC for many years. They have provided volunteers on several builds and donated jet service as auction items for our annual gala. This is the second house Flexjet has sponsored.
